Rockets Red Glare...Bombs Bursting in Air

We're EXCITED!!!

A little taste of what we did to ring in the New Year! :-)
We had a fabulous time with great friends and wonderful neighbors. We snacked the night away as we had several "mini" shows leading up to the midnight countdown. Neighbors around the corner from us had a great empty lot next to their house. They invited us to come their way and bring our explosives at the magical midnight hour. The German people usually buy a few packages of fireworks. It's us American's that go crazy with the dynamite since we can't do it in the states.

Eyes...red glare...

That is awsome! We are so jealous right now, we're moving to Germany just to do fireworks!

Looks like a blast! I'm so jealous of all the fireworks. Scott set some black cat firecrackers (VERY LOUD!) They made Owen & Drake CRY and run in the house. So much for exciting fireworks! ;)

Look at you and your new video talent! I'm impressed. Um, where were the kiddo's for the clean up, a little tired maybe? Gosh I didn't even see Grandpa and Grandma! Ha Ha, looks like they got the best of you!

That's funny Natalie! I remember setting off some back in Litchfield Park. We all ran in the house hoping the police wouldn't catch on to us. Silly people! Fireworks are just too much fun!

Mike is the video professional over here. He's got quite the talent! We headed over before people were awake. It was actually fun cleaning up. Ok, I take that back..it wasn't fun but necessary. :-) I think after all the sweeping my arm will be sore in the morning.

WOW, what a fun evening and huge amount of fireworks. I have never ever seen that much stuff in just regular peoples hands before. What a great night to remember.

Hi everybody. That night is a night to remember. Those fireworks lasted about an Hour. My friends Birthday was that day and she was turning 16 years old.Their were alot of fireworks going off at 12:00 and most of the fireworks were us Americans.

Love,Maddi

No Maddie, the Zalits were not with us. They moved up to Taylorsville UT. They have their little baby Amelia and Kelly is now pregnant with a baby boy. They are doing well.
You sure are lucky to have all those cool fireworks! :)

I really missed Germany on New Year's eve! It was so BORING here in the states. We went to a party but there's really no reason to stay up until midnight in the US.
I love reading your blog!

Not sure about the rest of your readers, but the folks in Indiana use ANY excuse to set off fireworks. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve... But we were boring this year, and didn't do it. Looks like you guys had a TON of fun. But the morning after- blah!

we should have partied with you guys!
