Today we did some pretty cool things. They probably aren't cool to many but they are things that don't often make it to the top of a travel itinerary when visiting Paris. We started our day with the sewer tour that we'd heard was a bit stinky but cool. It is a fascinating process, and the Paris Sewer Museum takes you through 500 yards of the city's 1300-plus miles of sewers.To tell you truth, it smelled TERRIBLY! It wasn't disgusting with stuff floating everywhere, we saw the end process as most of the stuff was cleaned from the water. It was gross thinking where we stood in the tunnels can and does often flood if they've had a lot of water from rain and such. You can see the top of the tunnel is wet from the water. I made sure not to back up against the wall as we listened to the tour guide. This tour was pretty cool if you didn't think about the water below or focus on the smell. We saw the huge equipment used to sift through the "crap" and junk that comes through the systems. Our next stop was to the Catacombs. The catacombs were pretty neat! It was pretty spooky being in there with all the bones. You couldn't use flash photography so the pictures were harder to take. This was one day that I'm sure we'll never forget!
Tomorrow we're off to Disneyland!

That is soooo cool!! WE are studying Napoleon right now!! I would have loved to see the catacomb too!! Awesome! Thans for the posting those pics.
Okay so we didn't do the sewer tour! I am glad though since we could hardly stand the smell inside the metro stations! My friend Melissa and I about gagged several times!
